Ibrahim is an accomplished and experienced (over 20 years) environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management expert. 

He has led over 800 ESG projects in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Kenya, working on different high-profile projects over different sectors of the economy.

He was an ESG Consultant with the World Bank Group (International Finance Corporation, IFC). He was part of the team that drafted the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles (NSBP) in 2012 prior to its adoption by the financial sector in Nigeria. 

He is a member of several professional organizations including the prestigious International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA) and the International Society for Sustainability Practitioners (ISSP).

He is the Vice President of the Association of Impact Assessment of Nigeria (AEIAN) (the Nigerian affiliate of IAIA) and an ISSP-Sustainability Excellence Professional (ISSP-SEP). Ibrahim is also a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Association of Sustainability Professionals of Nigeria (ASPN).

He has written and presented several papers at workshops and seminars in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United States of America. 

He is the founder and Managing Director of Environmental Accord Limited, a leading provider of E&S services in Africa. Ibrahim also teaches Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) at the Lagos Business School.
